Our Story

James Rentfrow along with his long-time friend Billy Robinson were visiting one day and the statement was made by Robinson “that there needed to be a color option for vinyl windows”.

This lead to more discussions, and after 3 months of research by Rentfrow into the various types of equipment needed Rentfrow and Robinson formed Stealth Finishing.

James Rentfrow started in the aluminum extrusion industry 40 years ago back in 1980, providing aluminum extrusion to the window and door markets. As the aluminum extrusion markets have slowly turned to more of an energy compatible product aluminum slowly lost market share to vinyl extrusions.

This is the very reason why James Rentfrow decided to create Stealth Finishing. Today most new building and construction, home replacement, and multi-family housing markets look for the more cost-effective energy efficient products to use on their buildings/housing. Vinyl windows and doors have been on average 30% more efficient than aluminum and are significantly better insulators against the heat and cold.

Our Mission

“To build a long-term relationship with our customers that adds value to the product offerings that help grow their market share. This will also offer the end user flavors other than vanilla and chocolate; That’s a wrap”!

Interesting Facts

Laminated film products can be produced in any color for both interior or exterior.
Exterior film products carry up to 10-year warranty or longer depending upon the laminate film supplier.
Interior and Exterior decorative films come in solid or woodgrain colors as well as several textures and in any color woodgrain combination. example: Oak Exterior & Cherry Interior
Decorative films offer a superior product compared to painted pvc or capstock extrusion.
Many different substrates may be profile wrapped: PVC vinyl, PP, ABS, fiberglass pulltrusions, solid wood, MDF, HDF, particle board, plywood, extruded wood, aluminum, steel, and other substrates.

One drawback for vinyl extrusion is that colors have been restricted to white, tan, or a version of clay.

Since darker vinyl extrusions are more susceptible to chalking, retaining heat (not energy efficient), color shifts from UV exposure or production runs; this has made darker vinyl extrusion colors unavailable. While some companies paint vinyl, there have been many cases in which the paint cracks and peels off the frame requiring repainting or touchup. “This is not a good look”. While profile wrapping is not a new development it has taken some time to migrate over from Europe. When it comes to offering vinyl colors, textures, and finishes this has become the standard across the pond. From Europe it slowly moved to Canada and has most recently continued down into the U.S. market. Primarily used in the northeastern part of the U.S. for customers that wanted the energy efficiency of vinyl but the look of metals, wood, or color other than white, tan, or clay. After researching and discovering the only 3rd party laminators, were in the northeast the conclusion was made to bring this color option to the southern and southwest U.S. market. Therefore, Stealth Finishing decided to centrally locate in Dallas Texas to best serve both these regions.
